Not too many films get better the more times you watch it... this is one of them. One of the most inspirational films I have seen in a long time that can relate to everybody in different ways. For me, Ralston's experience of being stuck reflects my drug addiction. The things I did to myself put me in a situation that only help from others could get me out of. The more you watch "127 Hours" the more you get out of it and the more you notice Boyle's subtle direction including motifs and clues that reflect Ralston's experience and more importantly his life. A beautiful film which deserves more attention than it received. I will expand on this magnificent cinematic experience in future, but for now, no film this year has meant more to me and no film has helped me to realize that everybody needs a little help... you can't simply live by yourself.
