Okay, the manga has already been made into a movie, and it's one of the best films to ever come out of South Korea, so why the Hell is it necessary to put out another adaptation? Chan-wook Park did such a flawless job the first time. Who knows, maybe this'll be another instance of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo where the Swedish version and the American version matched up pretty evenly, but everyone knows that the Swedish version, for all its visceral merits, was still a flawed film; Park's rendition of "Oldboy," however, borders on flawless. Who knows? Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but I'll need some ocular proof before I'm dissuaded.
