Historical revisionism, and racist, extreme-neo-american-conservative propaganda at it's best.
Teenagers with little knowledge about history will probably love this movie, but others will be unable to enjoy it.
We simply cannot ignore so much inaccuracies and propaganda. There are too many of them.
So, according to creators of this movie (who claim that the movie is entirely accurate), historians were all wrong. In ''fact'':
-Persians were ancient muslim Arabs. and they were all weak, ugly and deformed.
-Xerxes was in ''fact'' a feminine, 'evil' bisexual.
-Greeks wore no armor, they were all beautiful, peaceful and loving...except when they killed babies and slaughtered the innocent.
-All ugly people are evil, and there should be a stick birth control that allows only certain babies to live.
-According to one scene, unproductive sex outside marriage is also evil....and only deformed homosexuals (to be precise:lesbians) do it.
-women were allowed to vote and speak among men in ancient Greece. How did all those historians miss that?
-there were nos slavery in ancient Greece. All historians are mistaken. Or if they are not, it's a fault of somebody else. Some greedy, ugly Jew with a huge nose, maybe? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised.
....and I described only few inaccuracies, while I could write and entire book.
Even if we ignore all the historical inaccuracies, we can't ignore all the cartoonish silliness and ridiculous lines.. 5/10
