Respectfully disagree, while its one of Kubrick's weaker films I still think its fantastic. Nice review dude.

Admittedly, I was a bit harsh on this one. Looking back, I think I was expecting a masterpiece. Same goes for The Killing and Paths of Glory.

Great Review! Big fan of Kubrick, I'll have to add this to my list.

Thanks, Alex. Kubrick is one of the best ever.

FEAR & DESIRE and The Killers Kiss are the only two feature length Kubrick films that I have not seen. However Kubrick also made three Industrial shorts including THE SEAFARERS ['53] which I found to be on the same level as most industrial of that era. Sadly it turns out that FEAR & DESIRE is not commercially available due to the great director being embarrassed by it. So the only way to view that film is via bootleg copies including low-res YouTube version(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v

Yeah, I had to watch Fear and Desire on low quality web source too. Gave it 3.5/5. Thank.

Oh well here is hoping the Kubrick family will allow some BLU-RAY & DVD company to give it a proper release. Great review Again

I've seen it long time ago on TV and I didn't think too much of it... maybe I should revisit it?! Good review!

I somewhat disagree. Even though I thought this was a rather sterile, pale imitation of a noir film there are occasional flashes of stunning brilliance which were stand-outs (boxing scene, gladiatorial fight scene in the factory, etc.) Still, I agree that this film is really just for Kubrick enthusiasts. Good review.

I love Kubrick's work so I'll definitely search for this. Firstly, I need to watch Barry Lyndon and Dr. Strangelove though! Great review as usual!
