This movie seems to be inspired in a quick thought right before going to bed. The idea is there but horrible acting cliched dialog predictable from start to finish kill it. The dialog was quickly written and the quality suffers. Hall-pass would of been better if they would of just made it a more serious movie with some wit in between. The directing was tired ugly and over the top, so ugly it made you feel disconnected with the movie. The characters were predictable and there is no real character development going on, because they really had nothing to develop from there flat script. Hall-pass is a movie that tries to shock you and surprise you with turns and surprises in the road but ultimately its so boring you find yourself not even caring.
