This film is a mess. Its the first time i've seen it since it came out and to be honest it's worse than i remembered. The acting and particularly the dialogue is pretty bad across the board. It seems to be some kind of mish mash of previous John Carpenter movies (The Thing, The Fog, Assault on precinct 13) but set on Mars. Can't really say i enjoyed the jumpy editing constantly used either.

The heavy metal soundtrack used seemed to work but i reckon the best thing about the movie is the premise so its a shame it wasnt executed with a better script......and cast. For Carpenter completists only. 3/10
