Easily the best Disney Movie of 2012 and possibly the best Disney Movie in years. It is far superior to Pixar's Brave which came out earlier in the season, especially in terms of characterization and plot. Not to discredit Tangled (2010) from being a great Disney film, which I've already called the best Disney film produced since Lilo and Stitch (2002), both Tangled and Wreck-it Ralph have the possibility of heralding in a Third Disney Renascence, which is great since Disney animation has been lagging for quite some time now. It needs this sort of a quality boost.

The reason for 4 and a half stars in purely for nostalgic purposes. Harry Potter has been apart of my life for a very long time, I grew up with it as apart of the Harry Potter Generation. The first in the series is by no means a masterpiece, but it is an impressive first entry in a ten year filmaking process. There are only a few that rival it.

I had never even heard of "The Truman Show" until quite recently and I never even imagined that this review would be my first on ROTTEN TOMATOES, but I'm glad it is.
The Truman Show is about a man named Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey), who's entire life is a live TV show broadcasted to billions around the globe, him being unaware of the fact that his story has been written since before he was birthed. Into the shows 30th year, Truman begins to realize that his unknowingly fictional world is not what it seems and soon aspires to break free of his invisible chains.
One of the most original and thought provoking films about modern entertainment today. Gorgeously written and expertly acted by Jim Carrey, perhaps the best performance of him I've ever seen. The overall film reminded me of a more modern science fiction allegory sort of written Ray Bradbury style, providing one with a glimpse of the simple, but chilling fascination the world apparently has for reality TV, and what extremes might stem from it.
My Rating: 4.5/5 stars
Re-Watchable rating: 7/10
Movie Score (music) rating: 6/10
