She had her baby in Wal-Mart, why can't she get married there too?
I happened to stumble upon this movie after my Mother was looking through channels and read a rather strange description for a movie, and so, we both decided to watch it. Where The Heart Is seems like a chick flick you'd see on Lifetime, but I guess it was a full fledged movie at one point, which surprised me, because it seems VERY much like a Lifetime original movie. A big problem with this movie is that it's a little hard to follow, this movie likes to skip time... a lot, and you begin to wonder how long has truly passed, but it never really tells you, unless you pay absolutely attention to every word everyone is saying, which is also hard since none of the actors know how to raise their voice from a gentle whisper. Although, to give this film some credit, it has a generably likeable cast that though a decent job in acting itself, and the moments that seemed sad were genuinely depressing, and a few lines even made me chuckle, good work movie. Though, again, it just feels like a movie you see on Lifetime, where everything is bad until the end when everything becomes a little better... how predictable.
I recommend this movie to lovers of chick flicks, as they'll get a serious kick out of this movie, but anyone else might want to pass on this movie, unless the description for this movie wrenched your curiosity like it did mine.
