    Release Date 08/11/09

Sorry about there being no update yesterday. We had a bit of a family get together, and went out for some crabs. And anyone who has eaten, or at least knows about eating crabs, it’s a lot of work for very little meat. Here are some new release picks for this week, which I forgot to post the week before like I usually do.

I Love You, Man and 17 Again were films that I was mildly interested in, but not enough to see them in theaters. Since both are hitting DVD and Blu-Ray today, I will finally get around to seeing both of these films.

I stumbled on the previous Super Friends DVD sets for really cheap a few weeks ago and have fallen in love with this campy 70’s and 80’s animated series. It doesn’t compare to something like Justice League Unlimited, but never the less I like watching this series. The Lost Episodes was released today on DVD and I’ve picked that one up to add to my collection.

I bought I Love You, Man today and it's honestly one of my favorite comedies of the year. I really wanted to watch The Soloist last week but my video store didn't have it, I hope to see it later this week. Can't wait for D9.

I ended up buying I Love you, Man today as well. And I found out that our theater will be getting District 9 this weekend, so I will be seeing that film sometime this weekend. I'm looking forward to it.

Gosh. The Soloist blows. Besides, I Love You, Man is one of my personal favorites of the year. For the love of Rush and prog rock in general, I'm totally in.

I just finished watching I Love You, Man and it is among my favorite comedies of the year. Awesome film, and great performances from Rudd and Segal.

I'm glad that you liked the film. I Love You, Man is up there with Funny People and The Hangover as my favorite comedy of the year. I really think that Paul Rudd is the funniest guy in the industry right now. What did you think of Rashida Jones? She's one of my favorite comedians as well.

I thought Jones was perfect in this film, and I absolutely fell in love with her. I was happy with the way the movie handled her character, and with how much Jones was able to be so charming throughout.

It was a solid movie. I'm happy to see a lot of comedies coming out that aren't so over the top, or relying on a silly premise to try and create laughs. I Love You, Man is a simple film, but was able to create some huge laughs.
