Since my Halloween giveaway contest turned out to be bigger than I expected I’m going to do another one just in time for the Christmas season. Starting today you can enter to win a copy of the DVD box set Holiday Family Collection, which features two of my favorite Christmas movies (Rene Cardona’s Santa Claus and Nicholas Webster’s Santa Claus Conquers the Martians) among some other films I’ve never seen but am sure are terrible fun. Also in the collection are some Christmas themed episodes of shows you’ve probably never watched (Ozzie & Harriet, Petticoat Junction…) as well as some pretty interesting Christmas short films (both animated and live action). My personal favorite is Santa Claus Story, in which Santa tells a brother and sister a story about how monkeys celebrate Christmas.



Also included in this giveaway is a Blu-Ray copy of Bob Clark’s seminal holiday film, A Christmas Story. Sorry if you don’t own a Blu-Ray player yet. I guess if you don’t own one yet you can hold on to the disc until you do, or give it away as a gift to someone you know who does own a Blu-Ray player.
