You guys, I've been gone for, let's say, more than a year. I loved the RT community, but my craving for film was slowly dissapearing after i got busy with other activities. But as those activities are gone for the present, I want to talk about films, review them, make lists and show them to a film appreciating community, not just my brother and my cousin in Canada. But, here I am at last, and i want to say I've missed this experience so much, and I'm more than ready to get started once more!
But I have bigger ideas planned.
During my RT haitus, I discovered I loved to listen to film podcasts and watch YouTube Reviews. I especially loved episodes where they talk on certain subjects on film, rather than just reviewing a movie or putting out a list. I thought of a way of doing this without making my own webstire, and I just came back here; the friendly old Rotten Tomatoes. I want to put out blogs and write articles on films, film subjects, conspiracy (about film, like what The Shining is about), and anything on film in general! It's something I hope to be consistent with, and to keep going, because honestly, I just love movies. Life without them would not be how it is today, especially without people to talk and enjoy movies with! I'm having several thhings planned, and if all goes well, I'll be doing it a lot and keeping it a priority! So thanks guys, for keeping it to RT, and for keeping me on your friends list, cause i know how much you dont want those people who never read your reviews and are practically retired from the RT World (well foor me, just a year). I can't wait to get back started on this website, and I hope you guys have an awesome movie summer!

Hey readers! Today, i have a blog post about one of my most favorite things in the movie world; The Oscars. Personally, the Oscar Best Pictrue category. I love to predict who wins and love to watchh who wins, and today, I'm going to predict the Oscar Nominations for Best Picture so far, and hopefully you will, too.
It's already the half-way point of 2011, and there have been some great films to come out, and some bad ones. Now, in the case of Oscar Best Picture nominees for last year, most of them came out within the second half of 2010, and I'm thinking the same wil happen this year. But for this half of 2011, i have predicted the Oscar Best Picture nominees for next year's Academy Awards (in no particular order):
The Tree of Life
Midnight in Paris
X-Men: First Class
Now, there are an IMMENSE amount of films coming out this fall and winter that could be kicking most of these films off the list (Super 8, Source Code, X-Men: First Class, The Beaver), but I do think that two of these are looking REAL good for the Academy. And those two films are The Tree of Life and Midnight in Paris. Bridesmaids, Begginers, and Win Win are also potential nominees, but we have to see the rest of the year's lineup to decide that.
With David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Jason Reitman's Young Adult, Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar, Stpehen Daldry's Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and Stephen Spielberg's War Horse coming to theaters this year or early next year, the films above have a heck of a competition that's going to knock plenty of them out of the ring.
But, anyway, what's above are my half-year Oscar Best Picture nominee predictions. I would love to see your comments below, saying what your predictions are and whether or not you think your predictions are staying untill award season. Thanks!
hey readers. Pretty soon, Pirates of the Carribian: On Stranger TIdes will be hitting the $1,000,000 Box Office mark, making it the 8th film to have ever done that. Now, with 8 billion dollar films, i was thinking about the next one that might hit that mark. With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 coming out in less than a month, and The Dark Knight Rises coming out next year,I thought one of these two films might be the next film hitting the big ten-o.
Now, i think the final harry potter would be hitting that mark. It is indeed the last film in the franchise, and Part 1 has already come out on DVD for those who didn't see it in theaters, and it's very likely that HP7 will be making 1,000,000 dollars or more. It might even be the most watched grossed midnight showing of a film, as well.
Some people would disagree, for the highest grossing harry potter film was the first one, and the other ones could never make it past the amount of maney it made, not even Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. So , as of now, many people are confused as tow which movie will be the 9th Billion Dollar film, and I'm betting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Please tell me your consent on what yout think will be th 9th Billion Dollar film, and for what reasons. thanks!
hey everybody. i just wanted to tell you something baout my reviews. if you look at them, you might see the ratings on them are EXTREMELY different that from what others would give them. such as The Kids are All Rght, which i gave a 60%, most would give an 80% or 90%. you maybe thinking that i don't like these 60% or 70% rated movies, but that is nowhere near the case.
the only reason why these Oscar Best Picture nominated/winning films are rated kind of low, is becuase the only reviews I'm going to write are on Oscar Best PIcture nominated/winning movies.
i base my reviews on these nominated/winning films in comparison to others nominated/winning films, not in comparison to the movie world itself. so, if you see i give Winter's Bone a 50%, that doesn't mean it belongs with other films rated like that on RT, but it's just 50% compared to Oscar Best Picture nominated/winning films. do you follow me?
that's all i wanted to say about my reviews, and i will be putting a link of this below every one of my reviews. if you have any wuestions, or still do not understand, please comment or send me a message. THANKS!
hey readers. i just wanna say that i'll have at least one review of a film every week, and that i should have a list up next week. only one problem, i don't have anything to make a list about! i want you guys to give me an idea on what the list should be on such as:
FAVORITE FILMS OF ALL TIME
FAVORITE ANIMATED FILMS OF ALL TIME
FILMS THAT SHOULD'VE WON BEST PICTURE AT THE OSCAR
TOP 5 BEST PICTURE WINNERS
please vote for one of the following. greatly appreciate it.
Hey, I'm a new member of RottenTomatoes, and i used to be on Metacritic, untill i quit and decided to join this website! i'm real glad to be here, and i hope you'll be my friend! I only review Oscar nominated/winning films for I believe those are the only films worth bneing reviewed, with a few exceptions. Thanks, and i hope I'll be with you guys on RT till the very end!
