From the first scene, you are led to believe that Jenny is smart but she keeps disappointing you and her friends,teachers and family are no different.The themes are not entirely original and the writer has a perfunctory attitude toward everything except the protagonist.The ending lacks grit and does not provide a very fulfilling "education".The only redeeming feature and a very good one at that is Carey Mulligan's brilliant acting even though sometimes she looks much older than 16.
