Painfully cliched, and often painfully awkward, this movie has no idea what it's about. The only redeeming aspect was some good cinematography. Ewan MacGregor turns on his absolute best charm for the script unworthy of his talents, but ultimately depresses the viewer even further by letting this horrible movie taint his sterling career. Only go to see it if you want to witness confused-yet-simple emotions, comedic tropes, and a fantastical vision of the real life chaos in the middle east. The stilted ending will either make you peel into derisive laughter or shrivel into bitter sobs.
