From now on, it will be VB before 'The Dirty Picture' and VB after it. Vidya Balan has transcended many a boundary with a giant leap. She has become one of the top and most sought-after heroines of B-Wood.
The leap is 'The Dirty Picture'.
Of course the director and the lead actors have done their part, though less than VB's, well. But more than Milan, more than N. Shah, more than Emraan, it is Vidya's show all the way. She all but carries the weight of the whole film on her shoulders. And it seemed, by the way she had essayed the role of Silk, a dancer, that it never did take a toll on her.
'The Dirty Picture', inspired by the life of Vijayalakshmi, popularly known as Silk Smitha, is a good movie, a really well-made movie, barring some slightly lewd scenes. The manner in which Milan Lutharia has directed the movie or Rajat Arora has penned the dialogues ( the dialogues are witty and rather incisive and funny) grabs our attention.
P.S. You see the main picture rather than the dirty one, you have a good movie in your hands...
