Possibly the worst dialogue ever is a fitting way to perceive The Room. Terrible. Awkward. Terrible awkward sex (what's taking them so long?!)

A mind-bending, philosophical movie. Some of the ideas and philosophical questions (there are many) posed during the film will truly, alter a person's life.

So, the Austin auteur (Richard Linklater), presents a challenging film which touches on such themes as existentialism, free will, the nature of reality, personal identity and also touches upon death and posthumanity. All of the theories presented do NOT sound like a bunch of stoners, which is a common criticism. In fact, some of the people are actual philosophers, writers/poets, and teachers.

All, save for that "Holy Moment" guy, theories in the film are well developed and thought out. Also, all require all good sum of knowledge, such as Eammon Healy's monologue. But, if you put great thought into the film, you will find a rich and rewarding experience.
