Get Him To The Greek wasnt as good as its predecesser, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but it was still fairly decent. Get Him To The Greek is a spin off from Forgetting Sarah Marshall and focuses on the friendship between troubled rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) and Aaron Green (Jonah Hill); a music industry recruit, who is mean to get Aldous Snow to perform live at the Greek Theatre on time, but its no easy journey as the cantankerous Aldous pressures him to dabble in drugs, sex and rock n roll. I felt sometimes the film tried to be a bit too funny and not all of the jokes are good, but it does have some funny parts. Russell Brand brings his character Aldous Snow to life and steals the show. Russell Brand is absolutely hilarious. I wasnt too keen on Jonah Hill and his character, but the friendship between him and Aldous is portrayed really well. I think the film really showed the audience in depth Aldous' troubled life and he's just human like everyone else. The film was quite touching in parts, for example when Aldous admits his fame has made him lonely. Get Him To The Greek is pretty decent for a spin-off; I'd give it 6.5/10.
