I'm not usually a big fan of Godard's movie, but I have to confess I like this one very much.. :)
" A Love Affaire between a young parisian (Jean Pierre Léaud] and a ye-ye singer"
The main asset of the movie is definitely Jean-Pierre Léaud ; the teenager of the 4OO Blows is now a grown-up and he's really amazing : handsome, sexy, cheeky...this kind of men who can't be refused anything when they smoke a cigarette :)
A Great movie from the French New Wave...fresh, interesting, intelligent, classy black and white :)
Paul: We'd often go to the movies. We'd shiver as the screen lit up. But more often, Madeline and I would be disappointed. More often we'd be disappointed. The images flickered. Marilyn Monroe looked terribly old. It saddened us. It wasn't the film we had dreamed, the film we all carried in our hearts, the film we wanted to make... and secretly wanted to live.
