While this movie carried on in the tradition of SAW, it just wasnt the same. Of course that it not usually a good thing. While it was different in many good ways, SAW II lost some very good elements SAW had going for it. For one, there is no longer the mystery of who is the killer. Secondly, all the characters are much less developped (they choose to approach the problem by solitude and force instead of cooperation and insight). Lastly, the director had said on the commentary that each of the characters had their own room in the house. I would have rather seen everyone die by traps than having them kill each other off (the whole trap thing was a big part of the SAW feel). While there was a little more character development done with Jiggsaw, the movie could have achieved what it did without losing what made SAW a great movie. 7/10
WOW.... here's another one for the really bad sequels bin! While I had been impressed by the first movie (I never thought I would have liked it!), this one I was right about. If you want to waste two hours of your life, then be my guest and watch this movie. But if you want to keep a good mental association with The Fast and The Furious, then forget there even was a sequel. 5/10
Well... if you want action for the sake of it, here it is. I, however care for the higher things in life. Things like character developpment and plot. Surpizingly enough, this movie has very little of either. You would think that since Brad and Angeina are married (in the movie of course), that they would at least act like it. But no, it seems they are their cold, assassin-like selves up until the last three minutes of the movie. Regarding plot: if you've watched the commercials or read the back of the box, you dont even NEED to watch this movie. 6/10
