Truly awesome. A lot of truly epic performances. Eckhart does well as Harvey Dent (who in my view should have lived to give Two-Face a chance), Oldman and Caine do well as Gordon and Alfred respectively. Bale as Batman, a good choice (though Michael Keaton is still the definitive Bat). It's Heath Ledger who steals the glory though as The Joker. He plays it with the most psychotic edge that I have ever seen a Batman villain being played. It is a shame that he's no longer with us, as if they get another person to play the Joker, I just don't see that person doing the role any justice. A truly dark, but excellent movie.
Very good film. Daniel Craig is still a damn good choice to play Bond and Judi Dench is still a marvellous M. It seems to me, though, that the best time to watch this film is straight after watching Casino Royale. It's the only way to understand what is going on. Some of the editing seems a little hap-hazard as well. The effects are still brilliant. This Bond film has been made for the 21st Century audience and seems to lack a little of the suave feel that the original Bond films have. Nevertheless, very enjoyable.
Not as brilliant as the original 2, perhaps because of Maria Bello as the wife. Bello gives a good performance but Rachel Weisz basically makes the role what it should be. Also, Michelle Yeoh is not in the film enough. Still, some brilliant performances from Fraser, Jet Li and John Hannah. Also, Luke Ford and Isabella Leong do exceptionally well. Add some brilliant CGI Yeti and it's still very enjoyable.
Quite a brilliant film. Slow to start, but it picks up when the hunt for the Replicants begins. Some marvellous performances. Ford does well as the dour "blade runner", Young also does well as the Replicant who discovers just who she is. Rutger Hauer gives, in my view, the strongest performance as the leader of the Rogue Replicants. He gives the part a psychotic and scared appearance, and towards the end, he just delivers a madness that seems unreal. A masterpiece by Ridley Scott that leaves you thinking that anyone could be a replicant......even me!!!!
