Shakespeare once wrote that an actor's purpose is to put a "mirror up to nature". I couldn't agree more. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, this is the only truly useful purpose of any art form - the rest is entertainment, fluff, fast food. Sighting this nature of ours for what it is, is very important to me and films are a great help. Particularly those, whose makers manage to put ulterior motives aside and pour their efforts, wholeheartedly, into such mirrors: encompassing much, reflecting clear, granting moments of precious, precious perspective.
