It is not a perfect film or the best comic film I have seen but I give it 5 stars because for what it is, it's brilliant. The way they tie up the sequels and the prequel into this storyline is great. The film itself can lose you with it's time travel story however it works.
For me, Fassbender is the most exciting actor alive at the moment and he does Magneto justice once again. What made First class great, was done even better here with both casts. I think it is time they make a solo Magneto film with Mckellen and Fassbender plus whoever would play Magneto when he was young.
There is an action scene where slow motion was used.. now, this has been done to death since The Matrix in 1999 however this scene was one of the best slow mo usage I have seen in a very long time.. but, the scenes with Magneto at the end of the film gave me goosebumps. They are epic, Bryan Singer has done a brilliant job on his return. This is to me the best X-Men film yet...
It's a good monster flick however, the trailer makes it seem more epic than i felt it was at the end. The problem with films like this is that it will lose even more value on normal tv screens. This is a film only appreciated in the cinema. The graphics were very good but the story seemed to drag and it got slightly boring by the end of it all.
a little bit heavy compared to all other marvel films before it but that's what makes it stand out. marvel has hit a point between the dark knight and a comic film very nicely and the film is enjoyable throughout. I am a big fan of the first film and was really impressed by the sequel. Bring on part 3!
I still don't get why reboot Spiderman so quickly after the first trilogy but this was fun enough. I never was a huge fan of Spiderman and this film hasn't changed those feelings. He can get very annoying very fast in my opinion but Garfield does a decent job.
One thing I am not a huge fan of though is that this Spiderman seems modeled on the new spiderman designs etc.. specially the new trailer I saw for the sequel, it seems too cartoony but hey.. we got spoilt with the Batman trilogy and expect everything now to be more realistic or works in a real life scenario.. something someone like the Lizard character would not really work.
Great film. I never thought I'd ever enjoy a film by Methew McConaughey but after seeing Mud, Wolf Street and this I have changed my mind. The guy can act and he does a brilliant job here, so good that he's won an Oscar for it. Must see
