About My Movie Ratings:

VERY rare. This is a movie I can watch a thousand times and thoroughly enjoy it as if it were my first time seeing it.
Nearly perfection.
Thought-provoking, told a good story, had good acting, directing, cinematography, and a strong script.
A little bit better than average but not without its flaws.
All the necessary ingredients for an average recipe. Fulfilled the basic requirements of entertainment; nothing really spectacular.
Mediocre. Watch it if you are bored to death with no other movies on hand.
Rent it if you must, but don't waste your money at the theatre.
Tremendously disappointing.
I may have turned it off for offending me or boring me to tears (or sleep).
Brain-rotting, time-wasting, painful to sit through... CRAP.
I enjoy movies with meaning not merely entertainment value, unpredictable plot lines, phenomenal acting, original scripts, intellectual drama, tearjerkers, edge-of-your-seat suspense, fantasy lands I can escape to again and again, classic black and white, and unique independent and foreign films. I dislike crude humor, cheap gags, nudity, and movies with no point. The best movies are those that make me cry or smile, or evoke any sort of human emotion.
Lastly, I am here for the movies. Sometimes I accept friend requests and will chat but I am ENGAGED so please stop saying, "You're hot, wanna chat?" I will delete any messages like that.

The book is so much better but it was a fine attempt at translating a powerful literary masterpiece to the big screen.
