This film is one of those films where the ?trailer was in fact, better than the film.? The acting was mediocre, if not poor. Being known for her singing, Beyonce should in fact - stick to singing and not acting.
Although, putting the full blame on her for the bad acting isn?t fair, as Ali Larter, who is better known for her acting in the TV series ?Heroes,? should have gave a much needed, better performance. She could have put so much more effort into really making the audience believe that she was in fact, psychotic. In my opinion, it seemed as if Idris Elba (Derek Charles), who has shown so much potential in his other films such as, The Unborn, The Reaping, and even Prom Night was trying not to overshadow Beyonce?s performance.
The whole film follows a basic storyline that makes the audience frustrated at their stupidity. Just like when the blonde girl runs back upstairs away from the killer in a typical horror film. Very cliché. The whole film is pretty much based in one of two places throughout the whole film, Idris Elba?s workplace and his home.
Giving the story some more depth to the plot line would have made this film more interesting. Rather than just having, a psychotic blonde woman obsessed with her boss. Very unrealistic, everything was predictable, and the pace never changes. I rate this film a 4 out of 10
