I tend to enjoy a lot of literary adaptations, although I'm more critical of them when I go to see them in the theatre, so sometimes I end up hating them, because something fell out of place. I try to vary my tastes a bit, although sometimes there can be a perceived trend in the movies I like and the movies I don't like.
I refuse to see anyone other than Peter Jackson do The Hobbit, as he's set the standard for Tolkien adaptations. Anyone else would have a difficult time not only winning the good favor of fans but also maintaining the standard of excellence that Peter Jackson set for the Tolkien movies.
