GB 1931, Directed by: Victor Saville, with: Renate M�ller, Jack Hulbert, Owen Nares, Morris Harvey.

Susie Surster (Renate M�ller) comes to Vienna to work as a typist. She has nothing, but her self-confidence. She is that kind of hard-working, light-hearted woman, that can accomplish everything she wants, just by being herself. She manages to get a job, but her boss tries to make her pay for that job, with sexual favours. When she refuses to fulfill his demands, he makes her work extra-hours. And that is, when she meets the Director Herr Arvray (Owen Narres). She has no idea who he is and goes out with him. The Director has the time of his life and it takes until morning, when Susie realizes whom she went out with.

The story of this comedy is nothing new, nothing unique, but since Renate M�ller is my favourite actress, and I like her way of acting very much, I loved it. The songs were just as successful as the whole movie. "Sunshine Susie" was shot in England, after the German version "Die Privatsekret�rin" became a huge success. And "Sunshine Susie" became famous throughout Europe and the USA. The German version is lost, but this English version has survived and it is on youtube right now.

Just see these films: The Notebook,A Walk to Remeber, How To Deal) 1/2 Star or Beyond Awful(This movie is beyond awful..it is clueless whether it is a movie, a made for tv movie, or B-movie, yet, most likely, it was trying to be all three.) 1 Star or A Mess, Awful(This film is a mess..It is obviously with an involving plot, crappy acting, or just horrrific direction, the visuals can be bad too) 1 1/2 Stars or The Dull plot(Obviously this film is very dull, bland, or bleak, not very good plot turns, crappy acting, and bad direction from behind the camera) 2 Satrs or the Hit and Miss(Tried to hard to be a hit, and well it definately tried way to hard, and missed) 2 1/2 stars or So Close, but no Cigar(so close, I almost thought It was a hit, or atleast slightly enjoyable, behind dumb comey, or just one good scene, or one good actor, or song) 3 stars or The Three of a KInd( hey, it got to me, It hads some good acting, a good soundtrack, or was just funny enough to survive..and amke the grade) 3 1/2 or the Thrilling(This film was a good thriller, or action, or a hit and miss drama, Not quite the best, but hey it definetly made the grade and then some) 4 stars or the Perfect(These are the elite films..these should not be missed everything was pretty good, and I mean on an emotional, and physically visual level) 4 1/2, 5 stars or the Unmissable(Thanks to flixster, we get an extra star, or half)< Taht is why anything above the standard four stars for me, is well...UNMISSABLE) Yes, a bad ending has killed a film for me(See these films for bad endings) "Man On Fire" "Speed" "Point Break" 'Coyote Ugly" Among others I haven't the time to write down. :( A Good Soundtrack can be a plus though. :) Yes,I have been called "Ebert's Little Apprentice" I try not to be Biast in my Reviews at all. Unlike "Entertainment Weekly", calling the "Adult Film" or "Drama" an Endangered Specie..Is not nessicarly true. Realislisticly these are the best types of movies, and for me are "The One's That Should Win Awards".A.K.A.(Frost/Niixon, Men of Honor, Changing Lanes,ETC!) "In seven days God created the world.
