Took me a lot of courage to finally get around to viewing this flick. Seeing a star you know dangerously thin for this role makes you wonder what they went through as actors or actresses to make you believe that their script is real. Ron Woodoof (Matthew McConaughey) finds out that he has days to live after contracting AIDS. Having being rejected by his friends and co-workers for having the "queer person's" disease, he decides to combat this illness to prolong his life. Being that this disease is relatively new, the drug that the FDA has approves doesn't quite work for him. He decides to go through every measure he can find, legally and illegally in his country and outside of it to find the medications that are not FDA approved. Getting help from the most unlikeliest alliances, Rayon (Jay Leto) and Dr. Eve Sachs (Jennifer Garner) he launches the "Dallas Buyers Club", which works wonders...and prolongs his life longer than the doctor's prognosis. You feel his angst, struggles, and frustrations to be successful. Truly a wonderful movie to experience. Please see this, human interest drama.
This is one surrealistic but hilarious story and off the wall "rags to riches and back to rags" story of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). Martin Scorsese is back at the director's helm portraying the story of one man's acquisition of the American Dream to his demise through corporate greed. Incredible to watch and hilarious to experience what Jordan goes through in building his brokerage firm, his life from nothing. Only to get it ripped away in a way that he didn't see coming. Check this tale out!!
The past truly does affect the future. The power of the mutants as everyone knows have, a tendency to change what we see as normal. What would happen, if a mutant was sent back to the past to change an event which affects the very existence of the mutants in the future? Charles Xavier/Professor x (Patrick Stewart) Erik Lensherr/Magneto (Ian McKellen) rekindle their friendship and put aside their differences with the help of Logan/Wolverine to put an end to the threat of their very existence. Will they succeed? The adventure is worth your while seeing. It has been quite some time that I have been in a theater where the movie came to an end and the audience applauded the conclusion! Go see this!!
