Truly confirmed to be the first superb action flick for 2015. Being in a situation with no place else to go, but into trouble as a lot of troubled youths go...young Gary "Eggsy" Unwin (Taron Egerton) is one of thouse youths. His father died when he was young, His mother still distraught years later after losing her husband, Eggsy gets jailed and decides to makes a life changing decision. A recruiter named Harry Hart (Colin Firth) assists the young man to become a member for reasons mentioned in the film. Mark Strong (Merlin) and MIchael Caine (Arthur) assist Harry to groom the young "Eggsy" into the rites to be a Kingsman. Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) in the meanwhile is in the midst of unleashing his twisted and insane plans for world domination. "Kingsman : The Secret Service" is most definitely leaves your adrenaline level on an all time high.
Soulful Sunday sightings of cinematic surrealistic action. John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is an assassin in retirement. He is currently in mourning over the loss his wife. As he is doing his best to put his grief aside, he receives a package sent to him from his wife shortly before her passing. As he becomes acquainted with the new faithful companion, some thugs introduce themselves by complementing him on one if his possessions. Inadvertently they are so obsessed with his prized possession, they pay him an unannounced visit and leave him unconscious. When he comes to, not only is his property gone, they also robbed him of his new gift from his deceased wife. John Wick goes out to find out who did him wrong...with brutal and painful vengeance. Truly a revenge flick that will never be forgotten. ?#?3words? : Get John Wick!!
Good news and bad news folks...in seeing this flick, I have got to admit..the good news first...you will get a chuckle or two out of it. The bad news, is that the chuckles you get will be surprising. The adventure of which Aaron Rappaport (Seth Rogen) and Dave Skylark (James Franco) take you along is worth the journey despite the toilet humor innuendos. Also given the opportunity to assassinate North Korean Leader Kim Jong -Un (Randall Park) is an unlikely task but they accept with lots of distractions and doubt...seeing whether they can pull it off with all of the distractions is what pushed me through the movie. Worth seeing once...on DVD.
Super Saturday fun at the cinemas...as an actor...Denzel is back in full form in this really SLOW brewed...action will come...all in due time...dramatic flick. Starring as (Robert McCall) a simple man living in the quest of letting his mysterious past go, he befriends a young woman in trouble with a brutally ruthless Russian mob. When that young woman and her friend becomes brutalized and victimized by the mob, McCall decides that it is time to let his tranquil life take a back seat for the sake of justice for the victims. How far he goes makes this flick a true epic to remember. #3words : Go see this!!
