dude , u got it all rong about the indian movie annamalai
hi hello hw r u....im jovy
Blade Runner's one of my very favorite films. Do you have the boxed set with the "Final Cut" they released around Christmas? Brilliant collection!
I fairly recently built and painted a replica of Leon's Cop .357 pistol. Cool model kit to add to my collection of Deckard's Compton division Police Special blaster and my other Blade Runner pieces.
Cheers,
Eric

hi........
I do think Ms. Witherspoon has some real acting talent - and that is without having seen Walk the Line yet.
Nevertheless, something about her makes my skin crawl. I just think it's her chin.
As with Ms. Leigh - sure there are plenty less talented actresses but she just strikes me as one of my least favorite who lands a lot of decent roles.

hi how are you doing hope fine i will like to make you my frine that all shelton_sophia2000@yahoo.com
hi whats up
Had the editor proposed anything I didn't like, I'd've withdrawn the poem from consideration. It was partly a negotiation prcoess and partly my opportunity to benefit from the advice of someone who knew more about poetry than I do.
Don't feel disillusioned--There are lots of very talented people to whom no rules ever apply. And I believe that trying to write for a certain market is the best way to kill your creativity. Do what you do, do all you can to make it better, consider well the advice of people you trust, and someday someone will appreciate what you do.
-there's no specific reason actually I just want to work that's it.
-No I'm not from KOrea, just take a look at my pics again. Do I look like a Korean???My grandparents were germans. And I just know some languages but I'm not a linguist
-English for KOrean students and businessman
-Hello there...
-I'm teaching...What is your job??
-sure I just really want you to be my friend..SO how have you been today???
=-hello there...!!
There's a lot of truth to that, but there also comes a time to use the filters as it were. A lot of the credit for that poem should go to the editor, who asked if I'd be willing to drop a line or two and relineate the poem into its current form. He saw something in it he liked, but it wasn't done yet. The unbridled creativity comes first, but often it needs a bit of reining in.
thats not bad i didnt think there would even be as many as that and yes my courses at the minute prob mean there b slightly less chance of me knockin ur door down for an appt when u qualify haha i do miss it though!
I'm sure the reuslts will all b good how many stayed on the course sam stays in touch thru email shes in canada now and the odd joke from emmett in email other than that ive heard nothin hope louise is enjoyin her new job ive been doin a very relaxing quilting course lol n been busy with NICFC thinking about doin a dip in proofreading and copy editing hope my slang on here is never inspected lol
Hm, I got 30-odd per cent on the quiz...whatever that means. (-:
Thanks for your comments on the poem. It wasn't meant to be deep or anything. For most of the cards I tried to think of meanings that wouldn't make sense. Dashed it off in about 20 minutes because I needed a 5th poem to send to a mag. They rejected the four carefully-crafted poems and pubished that one!
i've already been told that about the subtitles in nightwatch. i do want to see that version at some point if i get the chance. thank you
this site has got me addicted to rating movies, when i was already addicted to watching them. thank you for accepting my friend request, it seems we have the same taste in films.
Aw, we all fall for that one once, eh? They told me I was a poetic genius too. (-:
I can e-mail some writings to you if you really want to read them.
HI Andy, yes it me from tech lol hows things with u? hows married life goin? wot u up to now u still doin the course ? talk to u soon ave just had this about 2 hrs so ive no idea how it works yet lol
Really, they'll not be anything you've heard of, but....I got 50 bucks for placing a poem in Gulf Coast magazine (vol 16 #1). My on-line poem about Coyote the trickster seems to have disappeared, funny that. (-:
I feel the original left the "replicant or human?" question up for grabs, whereas the director's cut, with the unicorn dream, pushed the film into the Deck-a-Rep camp.
I always thought he was a replicant, but I liked being able to make up my own mind better.
I keep meaning to ask--do you prefer the original Blade Runner or the director's cut? Also--Deck-a-rep or Deck-a-human?
Mostly short fiction, but I've had 2 poems published and my thesis was a short novel. I really need to revise that and see if anyone will publish it.
Vet. work was rewarding but also heartbreaking. I'm a creative writer and I'm studying English now. I'll probably end up a college prof.
I'm fascinated with ancient sites too--I had several courses in anthropology and art history as a youngun.
Heh--but I did sort of live those films, particularly The Breakfast Club. (-:
Maybe you're not 42 years old. (-: I lived those movies.
I'd love to see the orang sanctuary too--I was a veterinary technician for ten years and I care about animals a lot. (I think over there the job title is "animal nurse," which sounds a lot more humane dunnit?)
I've been to Oregon, Washington, Jersey, Ohio, NY and Pennsylvania but have otherwise spent my entire life in the South. I'd love to visit the UK, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Russia, and just about everywhere else.
honest 2 god i have no idea about 80s films, or ne 80s stuff really, had a look at da quiz n didnt even attempt it
"10 out of 10 correct | 0 minutes 56 seconds"
Challenge me on 80s trivia willya? (-:
Well thank you.
Nope, have a pen pal in Co. Antrim who visited me in Memphis once though. I'd love to travel everywhere, but thus far only my letters have gotten out of the US.

hi, thx for the recommendation for Monsoon Wedding. i love that movie very much..:)
thx, i only bought saddest music in the world and never see it until now.
Yeah,I thought that My Sassy Girl was one of those sappy run-of-the-mill romantic comedy until I saw it myself and was completely blown away. Thanks for your recommendation on Girl on the Bridge. Based on the synopsis and your review it seems like a very interesting movie I would enjoy. I really need to know about these movies as they tend to fly under my radar until someone point it out to me. I will see if I can find it where I live. Thanks again.
NP. I liked your Blade Runner quiz. Some hard some not so. Been a while since I plugged this in. After I did the quiz I watched it last night. LOL. I never thought of the connection with the origami. Interesting. Thanks for sharing that. :) On antoher note the 25th anniversary is coming up. They are re-releasing this to theatres as they did for the 20th. Hopefully they will do the same with the DVD and give this the DTS treatment. BTW I was at the premiere in San Diego CA. Ford and Scott were there as I remember. L8r
Hey check out the new widget on my profile!
the pic of the baby i have now? it was somewhen painted on walls in our capital city Berne, i've never found out why. the pic i had before was from "Salo, o le 120 giornate di Sodoma", but they removed it.
and i'm sorry they didn't accept my image. :S
Andrei Rublev or Stalker. I somehow didn't get the beginning of Andrei Rublev and found it rather boring, but as it develops I can't describe in words how that film made me feel, it's just too amazing. Unfortunately I saw Stalker right after I had read the book. The film didn't work for me then, but I know many who think Stalker is the best of Tarkovsky.
u o.k?

Do you know The Matrix?
You're welcome :) Glad to know I can be of help. It's a shame that so many great animated movies remain virtually unknown. That's why I intend do my best to promote them, and Flixster is a good place for that. I guess this is what Flixster is all about, so we can talk and share our knowledge about movies. I'm sure I'll be needing your help too from time to time, so let's keep the discussion going :)

Sorry, the 1st part of my response was cut off, so here's the rest...
As for the humor, both movies certainly shared the same irreverent attitude, contains some biting social commentary, and used a great (or on the case
of TG, absurd) amount of coincidences to keep the plot going and set up a certain comedic tone.
So yeah I agree with you in term of humor and emotional content, it's as if these movies are related in someway, almost like brothers ^^
This is my long overdue response to your question about the Belleville Rendesvouz vs Tokyo Godfather comparison, sorry it took so long 'cause I was
initially stumped and not really sure how to answer, but you certainly brought up an interesting topic :).
I'm not sure about the animation, as BR relies more on exaggerated cartoony action and has scarcely any dialogue, whereas TG tends to be more "realistic"
live-action like. Perhaps you mean the visual style? as they certainly have the same sprawling, heavily detailed urban setting with many of the same dark
color schemes.
Much of the similarities lies in the undercurrents, very subtle, but palpable, if I have to put it in one word, I guess both movies shared the same
"heart" or "warmth". The way the characters relate to each other in both movies, the sense of being "of one family", of human struggle and kinship in
life in the cold, uncaring metropolis. Both movies seem to run along these themes.
As for the humor, both

You should watch the Nadia TV series. It has a number of subpar episodes but overall I think it's an excellent series. There is a Nadia movie but I don't recommend it as it really sucks. There's no manga, not official ones anyway.
For more info, check out: http://www.gainaxpages.com/anime/nadia.php
Btw, I will reply your previous question on B. Rendevouz and Tokyo Godfathers later. Sorry for the delay, just need some time to think.

I saw that one, even reviewed it. It's also called The Triplets of Belleville
Hey Andy, I am really glad to hear that you enjoyed Music and Lyrics! You are soooo right it is the film of the year, although your attraction to Drew is a bit scary (or should I say Hugh!) Anyway there is nothing to be ashamed off being in touch with your femine side. How you cried at that film is really touching and doesn't make you strange at all!!! As you liked that so much you should really watch Hope Floats again - or Message in a bottle! Don't forget your tissues!
Ok so i'm really stupid and thought it was the Jackson version- maybe i'd give the original 3*'s but not a penny more!!!
Hate Lucy- that's putting it mildly
Do some work!!!!!
Why did you give this 4.5 stars then - is there no consistency in your ratings????

Sure, I'll add you right away.
My altime favourite is the Holy Grail, I've never actually seen the whole of The Life or Brian, and it seems to be the best Python Film where everyone else is concerned. The Holy Grail is just hillerious, python at it's best.
It's idioic humour. I just don't like it. Never really liked American Pie. I like Monty Python.
