    Argo (2012)

    Fall season is the perfect time to find the Oscar contenders in the race for the best picture. Usually the audience is been attracted by a try story drama about a personality, the struggle of a human being, but also about true life events with a political background.

    Argo is the true story of a hostage situation in Teheran in 1980. An special agent is commissioned to rescue 6 american diplomats hiding inside Canadian ambassador after a violent attack the US embassy. The film takes place in Los Angeles, Virginia and Teheran, as special agent Tony Menedez creates a whole plan of the production of a fake science feature film to be shot in exotic location in the middle east.

    The film features a great assemble cast: Ben Affleck, John Goodman, Alan Arkin and Bryan Cranston. The story is powerful and leaves you breathless, is one of those movies that you need to see as a piece of American history. Besides been a historical drama, the films switch gears to a action movie at the last minute.
