I get the fascination with this "critically-acclaimed" film. It was definitely one of the most haunting and interesting offerings of the year. Plus, so much of it was done with hidden cameras, not using real actors. Direction-wise, yes it has its "Kubrick" moments, but this is no Kubrick-level film. It's interesting, it's original, but it's lacking in essence. Good try though.
