XXXXXXX I am a senior with disabilities, I am 5'6" with black and gray hair. I have been an advocate for many years. I do not approve of rude terms, such as a moron, idiot or retard. Please do not send me messages using those terms. My name is certainly not Dude, Guy or Hey you and I am not a kid. ******* I am an American and love this country. We need to restore what was legal in the olden days. This country was founded by immigrants who came from other countries through Ellis Island and used to go to work during the day and go to night school to learn english, then they applied for American citizenship. Ellis Island is now a museum. We bought the island now known as the United States of America from the Indians for 24 dollars worth of beads and trinkets. We need to get rid of all these illegals who cross our borders without papers or green cards and send them back from where they came, they are taking over our country. Socialist political candidates are offering DRIVER LICENSES and FREE MEDICAL CARE to ILLEGALS. We need a passport to go to Mexico, but they sneak over our borders. Many of them don't work or work for cash off the books, like driving unmetered cabs without a medallion. They are willing to work for less than minimum wage. They are on Unemployment, Medicaid, Welfare, Food Stamps and what else they can freeload. There are muggers galore and homes broken into. There are bars on windows and doors for security. English is the language of this country, if you don't speak it then learn it or go back where you came from. They have come here illegally from Mexico, Haiti, Russia, China, Africa and living in Texas, California, Colorado, Arizona, New York and New Jersey. Many of them live ten families in an house designed for one family. They even live in buildings condemmed and set to be demolished. When I worked in the Bronx, NY they collected Welfare, Food stamps and even sometimes unemployment. They stripped cars or stole them completely off the street in the daytime. When I came to where I parked my car, I never knew what to expect. A parking garage was no better. They would double and triple park on side streets. If you parked against the curb, you were stuck. If you called the police, they said to blow your horn and they would come down. Not even a citation was issued. On main streets, they parked at meters with no money in the meters and sold merchandise off the sidewalk from a blanket. Sometimes the Meter Maids gave them a summons. XXXXXXX My Interests and hobbies:....... Computers, Surfing the Net, Instant Messaging, Movies, Music, Deepsea Fishing, Photography, Advocacy, Community Participation, Letters to the Editor, Blogging, Pet Peeves, Meeting People, I used to watch Professional Wrestling matches live and on TV on a regular basis. I know it is choreographed. ******* I have always loved to watch movies and listen to music. I have always loved cartoons, jokes, funny stories and movies. When I was a youngster and movies were a lot cheaper, We would go to a neighborhood theater with our lunches in a brown bag and watch a good movie or double feature with a cartoon and News Reel, sometimes a short and/or chapter. Some of my friends and I would collect milk & soda deposit bottles and turn them in for movie money. Sometimes we stayed too long and they chased us out. There was one theater named the Hopkinson Theater that ran 25 comedy shorts for 15 cents. Some of the comedy movies we saw there were the Dead End Kids, East Side Kids, Bowery Boys, Clancy Street Boys (Leo Gorcey, Bobby Jordan, Huntz Hall, Gabe Dell, Billy Halop, Bernard Punsly, Bernard Gorcey), Abbott & Costello (Bud & Lou), Laurel & Hardy (Stan & Oliver), Three Stooges (Moe & Shemp Howard with Larry Fine), Marx Brothers (Harpo, Groucho & Chico), Ritz Brothers, Olsen & Johnson, Our Gang Comedies, W.C. Fields & May West, Martha Raye & Buster Keaton, Charlie Chan. This theater was later converted into a bank. Some theaters would show a movie with a live show. I remember we went to the New York Paramount to see the first version of the "House of Wax" (1953)starring Vincent Price. The live show was with Eddie Fisher who was still in his khakis, as he had just gotten out of military service. He sat on the edge of the stage, talked to us and then sang. Many of these classic theaters like the New York Paramount, Brooklyn Paramount, RKO Fox, Loews State, Loews Pitkin, Loews Paradise, Loews Palace and the entire Randforce circuit closed down. That was so sad. Some were converted to super markets, churches or banks. Then they built these huge multiplexes, the Whitestone Drive In located in the Bronx, New York was converted into the Whitestone Multiplex Theaters with 14 screens with automated equipment and one projectionist. The Sunrise Drive In located in Valley Stream, New York was converted into the Sunrise Multiplex Theaters with 12 screens. The unions sold out their membership. Sweetheart contracts were written. The union was paid off and politicians were bought off. Members had to pay with a case or more of a good brand of Scotch or buy ads for a journal to keep their extra jobs while others had no work. I could tell you stories about the union that would curl your hair. I still do enjoy the old movies as well as the newer movies. There are still no actors or actresses like the ones of yesteryear. The studios need to wake up with new story ideas instead of all the remakes and sequels. There are are many good novels, why not use them. Some of the great actors and actresses of yesteryear are:....... John "The Duke" Wayne, Paul Newman, Tony Curtis, Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson, James Cagney, Sean Connery, Richard Burton, Pat O'Brien, Errol Flynn, Ronald Reagen, Clark Gable, Vincent Price, Frank Sinatra, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Richard Widmark, Marlon Brando, Jack Palance, Henry Fonda, Jimmy Stewart, Ernest Borgnine, Raymond Burr, Gary Cooper, Randolph Scott, Dan Duryea, Walter Brennan, Anthony Quinn, Anthony Perkins, Rock Hudson, Bing Crosby, John Garfield, Robert Mitchum, James Dean, Charles Laughton, James Mason, Joseph Cotton, Jack Lemmon, James Coburn, James Garner, William Holden, Cary Grant, Walter Matthau, George Raft, Richard Conte, Dana Andrews, Alan Ladd, Michael Landon, James Arness, Peter Greaves, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre, Theodore Bikel, Nemiah Persoff, John, Lionel & Ethel Barrymore... Judy Garland, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Dinah Shore, Lana Turner, Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Bridget Bardot, Loretta Young, Betty Grable, Rhonda Flemming, Rita Hayworth, Esther Williams, Linda Darnell, Lauren Bacall, Ava Gardner, Veronica Lake, Ingrid Bergman, Ann Sheridan, Barbara Stanwyck, Elizabeth Scott, Kathryn Hepburn, Betty Davis, Joan Crawford, Anne Bancroft, Jane Wyman, Shirley Temple, Margaret O'Brien, Mickey Rooney, Jackie Cooper, Jackie Coogan... ******* My favorite TV programs:....... Airwolf, McGuyver, Mission Impossible, Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, JAG, Top of the Hill, Knight Rider, Bay Watch, Viper, Mission Impossible, The A Team, Charlie's Angels, Quincy, Diagnosis Murder, Heat of the Night, Ironside, Perry Mason, Magnum P.I., Hawaii Five 0, Miami Vice, Remington Steele, Simon and Simon, Columbo, Starsky & Hutch, Dragnet, Kojak, Cannon, Matlock, Hogan's Heroes, CHIPs, Engine 51, Under Brooklyn Bridge, Incredible Hulk, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, All in the Family, My Favorite Martian, Family Affair, My Three Sons, Duke's of Hazzard, Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, Palladin the Man with a Gun, Fugitive, Tales of Tomorrow, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, The Goldbergs, Welcome Back Kotter, Chico and the Man, Bewitched, Sgt.Bilko, Nanny & the Profesor, Life Goes On, Car 54 Where are you?, Life of Riley, Mayberry, Golden Girls, Maude, Rhoda, Hee Haw, Louisiana Hayride ******* My favorite country music artists:....... I also like bluegrass music. I have seen many of the entertainers live at local shows. There were country TV programs like Louisiana Hayride & Hee Haw. There used to be great radio programs on WWVA (Wheeling, West Virginia)...I like most of the old classic country music. I like Hank Williams, Sr. His music was the greatest, he wrote his own music and he was a real entertainer. I also like Patsy Cline, Tammie Wynette, Dottie West, Skeeter Davis, Cousin Minnie Pearl, Lynn Anderson, Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, Lorrie Morgan, June Carter-Cash, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, George Jones, Webb Pearce, Red Souvine, Bill Monroe, Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves, Ernest Tubb, Little Jimmy Dickens, Bill Anderson, Kenny Rogers, Red Souvine, Charlie Daniels, Tex Ritter, George Morgan, Hank Thompson, Hank Snow, Ray Price, Freddy Fender, Jimmy Dean, Grandpa Jones, Red Foley, Roy Acuff, Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs, The Louvin Brothers, The Judds (Naomi & Wyonna), The Statler Brothers. ******* My favorite professional wrestling entertainers:....... I have watched live matches and on TV. I have seen:....... Jesse Ventura, Hulk Hogan, Wahoo McDaniels, "Chief" Jay Strongbow (Joe Scarpa), Johnny Valentine, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Jimmy "Superfly" Snucka, George "The Animal" Steele, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Andre "The Giant", Bruno Sanmartino, Pedro Morales, Antonio Rocca, Haystacks Calhoon, Tony Atlas, Arnold Skaaland, Lou Thesz, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Randy Orton, Bobo Brazil, Larry Zybysko, Don Muraco, Mil Mascaras, Terry Funk, Bobby Heanan, Tony Altimore, "Captain" Lou Albano, Freddie Blassie, "The Graham Brothers" Eddie & Jerry, "The Valiant Brothers", "The Kangaroos", "The British Bulldogs" ******* I am a fast food junkie, of the big three. I have been told by a former owner that McDonald's has the cheapest burger patties. Wendy's Restaurant has the best burgers, fries and salads. Unfortunately the closest location is in East Brunswick and all the people they hire do not give you their undivided attention, english is not their native language and the orders are not always correct, but they are improving. They are still too lazy to clean the snow from the parking lot, which violates state law. Everyone has to give Fuddruckers Restaurant a try for a great and huge burger. They also sell domestic beer as a beverage. XXXXXXX I do love the many friends I have made on Flixster, some are new and some are old who I met on the internet years ago. I chat with some of them on instant messenger. Flixster has 25 people working for them. There is a forum that has 5 moderators. Joe Greenstein a moderator who was an administrator and the founder of Flixster is elsewhere. Eugene a moderator / programmer is not there. Dave is a moderator who sometimes responds. I can't even get closed accounts who still appear on My Friends list removed. They don't even respond to messages. After lots of complaining, the closed accounts can be removed, they must have finally fixed the glitch, that did not exist. When I e-mail Flixster and get a reply, the rediculous questions. I have been deleting useless comments, then they return. They should not be returning after being deleted. I write to Flixster and get a question of what kind of comments? No wonder nothing gets fixed, they hire the useless, who ask stupid questions. What are their qualifications to be hired? It seems all the moderators are unpaid volunteers and only the administrators are paid. Not only have the forum moderators disappeared, but children have taken over the forum and true problems are not being addressed. Meghan McGrath aka FoxyRobinson used to be a friend has transformed into a rude and nasty know it all individual. She is a flirt and posts obscene messages. She can't be flagged either. You can't even post on the forum freely anymore without a juvenile response. This site has a great number of juveniles with accounts. Most are not annoying. When one 14 year juvenile delinquent old named Jack Moore aka ElectroBoy who has nothing else to do, is rowdy, harasses and uses obscene language at the forum. I have flagged him a number of times and Flixster immediately unflags him. I was threatened by a moderator named Dave aka CollegeKid with being banned or deleted for abuse of flagging. Then I was told by Dave that it takes more than a single flagger before it is in effect. Well it seems that Dave and Jack are top friends. In the meanwhile ElectroBoy along with FoxyRobinson can continue to be annoying to other users as long as no one else complains about them, these users just don't return to the forum. ElectroBoy has reviewed porno movies. You have to view his profile, it is as nasty as he is. Where was Flixster? ElectroBoy thinks he is a great wanna be some day. The Administrators and Moderators do nothing about him. He even dares me to go to administrators. Jack Moore aka ElectroBoy along with Meghan McGrath aka FoxyRobinson and friends have taken over the forum. Meghan in her 20s even befriends and plays with these juveniles. Posted by FoxyRobinson "How many times do you have to be told to contact ADMIN directly?" "Because to me it seems you just like to complain to a bunch of people who can't do FUCK ALL for you." Posted by ElectroBoy "MovieMan, Meghan said "fuck". "Gasp." Meghan McGrath aka FoxyRobinson has closed this account and opened a new account Meghan McPretty aka FoxyNinjaKitty I don't want to forget the quizzes Many of them are entertaining Some are stupid and vulgar Don't expect Flixster to do anything Then you put a dot in the answer and when you finish the quiz, it shows up skipped Don't expect Flixster to fix it. Users are getting the shaft and no one from Flixster even cares. Everytime I refuse to accept a member, which is my right. I keep getting an error code Sorry, our servers encountered an error while processing your request. Click here to the previous page to try again. You can also contact us about the problem. Thank you. This has been going on for over a month. I have notified Flixster on numerous occasions and not even as much as a response much less to repair it I have been deleting the duplicate, useless and oldest comments and confirm the delete, as soon as I delete them are back. When I write to Flixster, they ask what kind of comments. Do they have styles, types and degrees? They must hire people with an IQ of 50 or less. There are oldest comments, that I don't delete, but they seem to disappear. Here is another stupid Flixster rule ERROR Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum number of comments allowed today. Please try again later. This site seems to be going from bad to worse. I keep getting warnings from the no name Customer Service Administrator about complaints of being rude and inappropriate postings. Neither is true and she needs to go. If someone on my friends list does not like my recommendations or hate widgets and if I do not comply with their wishes. Then they block me and I get these stupid warnings. If our ladies do not want to give out their IDs / e-mail addresses or phone numbers, some are blocked and get a stupid message from the Customer Service Administrator without a name. What has this site turned into and the trash that come here, not to mention the perverts. FLIXSTER, YOU NEED TO CLEAN UP YOUR ACT. Now the free video movies are not working. It leaves a message: The requested video is not available Flixster Incorporated (415) 255-7225 FAX 208 Utah Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 (415) 509-5639 Answering machine I have found this contact information The phone number (415) 255-7225 is to a FAX machine. I have found another number (415) 509-5639 and it is to an answering machine. I left a message almost two weeks ago still have not heard from them. The movies are still not working. This has been going on for almost two weeks. I just left a second message. They finally fixed the movies and it only took two weeks and still no contact. What a way to run a business. If you go to their corporation site You will get this message Service Temporarily Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. Flixster for Sale (Again)? flixster Yesterday, a source told me that Flixster, the fast-growing social network for movie lovers, was back in talks to be bought by Barry Diller?s InterActiveCorp.
