A good movie. Still not my favorite of the series. Does a pretty decent job condensing a massive novel into almost 2 hours, but at the same time, it makes me really appreciate Rowling's pacing, where the creature crucial to a certain payoff wasn't introduced minutes before.
Fantastic adaptation of Heller's famous work. Catch-22 is wonderfully absurdist- sometimes to excess- and has loads of dialogue for the viewer to chew on long after the credits roll. Alan Arkin is tremendous. A must-see for anyone who thinks a lot. What is the nature of madness? What happens when nobody takes responsibility for anything they do, and the giant "THEY" is always to blame? How far can mindless American patriotism be pushed, until it's equal to Nazism? See this movie.
Really fun, until the last 10 minutes or so, when Bay makes it painfully obvious that he's leaving lots and lots of loose ends and confusion to leave us open for a sequel. But other than that, probably Bay's most entertaining movie.
