Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)

Something happened along the way here; The final episode of the original Star Wars trilogy. Compared to Irvin Kershner's Dark and grand "Empire Strikes Back" Richard Marquand's "Return of the Jedi" is a change in the franchises' tone to something of a carnival ride, which is fun and exhilarating but mostly for kids. The introduction of Ewoks (the precursor to Jar Jar Binks of "Episode I" ) makes this shift evident. All this aside a carnival ride is still a carnival ride and as child I remember loving the chase through Endor, the final epic battle between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader and of course the rescue the Sarlacc pit. Great movie for a different, younger audience.
