One of the staples in my "We don't need a point, we have clever fight scenes and dialog" collection. Sad that out of all the sequels in Hollywood, this was never brought up.
Grabbed the blu ray: best part is the original test ending without the score or the alt camera angles that plays completely flat and makes you really understand what audio, camera, grading and yelling dialog adds to a final version 5 min scene.
Watch Fincher try to beat any kind of emotion out of Stewart, then give up and try to focus back on why Foster didn't just take the lighter and set something on fire via the outside air pipe.
Once again the Hong Kong film kids take a simple subject and turn it into a cinematic experience that no US movie seems to be able to ever do sans a blue moon.
More of a slow documentary, that doesn't really go anywhere, then a movie with better actors cast for B-roll then on network tv.
