Con Air

Con Air

A very cheesy action flick, but very funny at the same time, Con Air works because the actors are able to overcome the silly music and sloppy one liners, they give a good showing to set out a watchable action movie. At times it was like 'oh god' but at times it was like 'This is pretty cool'

X-Men

X-Men

The dream of Humans and Mutants getting along is very well explained and its a bonus that they explain that story and also show issues surrounding it, however the explosive action and breath-taking effects wasn't showed as much considering its a big movie featuring such big characters with huge abilities, It end fight scene ends suddenly. Jackman as Wolverine really gives the movie a bonus, he gives a lot of commitment to the role and really makes the X Men work, some were casted well, some weren't. Overall X Men is solid and had some clever moments and a story that's told consistently and sets a goal for many sequels to come. They were missing a wow factor, something to mark out.

I don't think savages is a bad film, it just isn't that good, some of the scenes are pretty convincing, its something that's expected in the cartel, torture, crime and drugs. The 3 main leads doesn't impress me at all, the love triangle is difficult to relate because it isn't a triangle. It's a three way love.... unimpressive, Oliver Stone shouldn't have included that, pointless. However despite difficulties in the main lead, impressive performances are generated in Benicio Del Toro and John Travolta, they add dimension and ensemble to deliver a great imput and attempt to make Savages is a decent crime thriller, some scenes are correctly acted well, but it should of been much more better, If leads were cast better. Oliver Stone could have made it better. It wasn't impressive from his standard.

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby comes across somewhat flashy, visually crazy and effects are put forward to what seems dazzling and mysterious, but the story itself is pointless and utterly boring. Success in a movie should feature all cooperation of effects and storylines, yet The Great Gatsby hardly involves that, the plot is simple and the effects just seem misplaced, why create something like this? Forgetfull narration is well. Decent casted with some decent acting, actors were giving it their all to make it good, but overall its a movie that never seemed bothered about the audience, more of a music video then a film.

Antz

Enjoyed Antz, Antz was a very exciting animated picture, the concept was weird but it made a good life existence of an ant world. Ants are insects obviously but the creators put a lot of detail and so much thought into it that its hard not to be drawn exactly into the lives they live, weird concept but fascinating, crazy I know.
