Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

One of the worst horror films I have ever seen. This was so fucking bad. So predictable, I was calling some of the scares minutes in advance. This film takes forever to get started, isn't even remotely scary, and the first 30 minutes plays out like a shitty version of End of Watch. Do not waste a minute of your life on this film. Oh and by the way, I'm actually a fan of the Paranormal Activity series. I've enjoyed the other entries so far. This film though...it's so bad it's like a crime against humanity.

Excellent film that tells a great, heartwarming story. Worth seeing anytime, but especially around the holiday season.

This really just wasn't that good. This starts off interestingly enough, but just gets boring pretty quickly. I also feel like the characters don't react rationally to everything. There's times when they freak out over small things, and when they should be going crazy and running away, they practically don't give a shit. It doesn't make any sense. When they get shot at, or are in direct combat, they barely seem to care, compared to how much they freak out about having enough food or water. And then when London gets fucking nuked they're basically just like, well okay that sucks. Maybe the book does a better job of telling the story, because this movie sure as hell doesn't.

Mediocre at best. Starts out interestingly enough, but this movie gets distracted and unfocused. It doesn't know which story it wants to tell, so it tells all of the characters' stories, which just doesn't work here. It's trying to be about the two brothers, but it doesn't focus on them enough for it to mean much. And the whole telling all the characters' stories thing would work really well if this was a mini-series (maybe something they should look into) but just fails completely here because not enough background is given on most of the characters to make you care. So this is an ambitious attempt to tell a story but it ultimately falls short of whatever its goal was.

The film adaptation of the amazing true story of Seal Team 10's ambush by a massive Taliban force in Afghanistan and their fight for survival. This movie knows how to tell a story. This was a phenomenal film all around. Check this film out!
