    Never Let Me Go

    Never Let Me Go (2010)

This movie is fascinating, disturbing, and effectively emotional. This film's dystopian society brings up human beings for the sole purpose of donating vital organs. It spends no time explaining the genesis of this societal structure, and does not acknowledge anyone not directly involved with this disturbing process. It focuses on three donors involved in a love triangle. This romance alone is familiar but well-developed, and it's given a fresh makeover when put against the backdrop of such a society. While I felt the performances of Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley weren't as interesting as the actors playing their younger selves, this story was completely satisfying, beautifully shot, well-paced, and well-developed.
