Bio:
Before I start, I just want to let one thing be known: I believe the world is divided into two categories, people who can see art, truly see it, watch a film and say "Wow, that was beautiful," and then you have people who merely watch films to be entertained, even though they might masquerade as film buffs/lovers etc. The difference is that I have sadly come to realize, is that some people just look at things, look at the world, look at cinema, through different eyes. The reason I use this site, and I'm sure why most people do who use it properly, is to converse with other film lovers as well. I can say from experience that it is EXTREMELY annoying and challenging to not have any friends (Online excluded) that share the same love and extreme passion for cinema that I do, and I live in the Los Angeles area! I mean, my friends don't even know who Scosese is, how sad is that? All I can say is I HOPE all that changes come film school. So, that is why I use/love Flixster. Anyways, done with the rant, I could go on and on about the unappreciation of cinema in America, as I can't speak for other countries, I am pretty sure it's not much better. Really done with the rant now, and on to the about me... My name is Kyle, I'm 20 years old and live near Hollywood, California. Movies are my life, and next year I plan on attending Los Angeles Film School and studying to be a film director/screenwriter. If you want to know more about me, just message me.
Now to finish it off, the greatest quote in Cinematic history: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will not accept friend requests from anyone who falls under any of these categories: 1.You think I am good-looking, want to flirt, socalize, and want to talk to me about things other than films. 2.You do not rate films, write reviews, or send recommendations regularly. 3.You have a default profile picture (profile image with a question mark). 4.You have many Widgets on your page (this is not myspace). 5.We don't share a good MCT score (60 or higher). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -MY RATINGS SYSTEM- ***** (10/10) MASTERPIECE ****½ (9/10) EXCELLENT **** (8/10) VERY GOOD ***½ (7/10) GOOD *** (6/10) AVERAGE **½ (5/10) DISAPPOINTING ** (4/10) POOR *½ (3/10) TERRIBLE * (2/10) A DISASTER ½ (1/10) ONE OF THE WORST FILMS I HAVE EVER SEEN -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 rules of Flixster! Rule 1: We are here to talk about movies! Rule 2: We are here to talk about MOVIES! Rule 3: If you upload a video or photo, please relate it to a movie. If it is already there than don't upload it! Rule 4: This is not myspace, so don't send Widgets! Rule 5: Please have less than 3 Widgets on your profile! Rule 6: Don't tell the ending or twist of a movie in Quizes or Reviews!!!
