Martin's Message Wall

booklover11

Hey, all you users of Flixster. It's Booklover11 again, I know, I'm sending you guys way to much stuff, like polls, personal messages, film recommendations, etc, but hear me out. This October 6th, I will be doing this huge movie marathon, by reviewing 3 MOVIES ON THAT DAY! Now, I know, I did more than that before, but I've been real busy for the past month or so, so if you want to read my reviews, then's the time to do so, unless the date changes. The first movie I'll be reviewing is the critically acclaimed comedy; Ghostbusters. The second movie I'll be reviewing is the critically acclaimed animated Pixar film; Wall-E. The final movie is the biggest one, but will not be announced until the review is poster, so check it out then! So, check out my profile on the 6th for 3 movies in a row, and if the movie reviews aren't their, there might be an explanation on my About Me section. So, hope you check my profile then! P.S For a hint of what movie will be reviewed, you'll have to look DEEP into my profile. :P

Yo, it's your friend Booklover11, and if you receive this message, you're not the only one. I sent this to all my friends, and I hope you'll do the same. Why am I doing this, you might ask. Well, do you know that 100 Years 100 movies list? It was the top 100 movies decided by the American Film Institute that was on television. Several years ago, they made a tenth anniversary edition, with new movies thrown in. So, since that list, in many people's opinion, is missing so many great movies, I was thinking to do a new one, except this time, with you. Here's how it'll work: After you receive this message, send it off to your friends (Optional) and then send me a message saying that you're interested. In about a month or so, I'll send you a message to tell me your favorite movies. You can either tell me your favorite movies in the message, or tell me to look at your favorite movies list, and I'll handle it from there. You need at least 10 movies in your favorites to be allowed, and if you receive this message and you're not Booklover11's friend, add him/me. So, after all that trouble, in a month or two, the list will be up, with special thanks to all that helped. So, just send Booklover11 a message saying you want to help out, and when you receive the second message about you favorite movies tell me or tell me to check out your list. Hope you'll help. Thanks!

I agree with most of your review, except for where you said it's the weakest of the 4. You know I found it an improvement over the last 2. But again, you know I was never a huge fan of those to begin with.

Have you seen it before? I know it won't be anywhere near the same level, but am not intriqued. A Christmas Story is a classic.

"Salt" is on my list of films to watch... and it still sounds that bad. ^^

Just watched this today, and I think you might have been too generous. Aside from the overall rating, I agree with everything you said.

Yea, they could have given him some more to work with, allthough I really did dig the scene when "he" lit the guy on fire and turned around as it did a close up on his face and you could see his emotions as the fire guy ran around behind him, there's a pic here on flixster of the scene. I see that you liked Dr. Facilier by your picture, I really liked him as a villian, was a badass, reminded me of Baron Samedi from Live and Let Die.

Also forgot to mention THomas Kretschmann and Paul Schneider earlier in my favorite rising stars...but anyways you are going to be seeing ALOT of Mark Strong in the near future, he is such an iconic villian.

Just saw your review on SHerlock Holmes, and was baffled at your statement on Mark Strong, who is one of the top five rising actors out there right now, not only in my book, but in most serious movie-watchers and lovers of cinema. He is best-described in one word: BADASS. Revolver, Syrianna, Sunshine, Stardust, RocknRolla, Body of Lies, Young Victoria, all great movies, allthough alot of people find Revolver too complex and overwhelming, same goes for Syrianna. Watch his performances in all those films, he was also the best part about the mediocore Babylon A.D. Watch the trailer for the upcoming "Kick-ass." I think he is loads better than Tucci. Allthough Tucci was good in Lovely Bones. My top favorite rising stars are Sam Worthington, Matthew Goode, Ben Foster, Joseph Gordon Levett, and Mark Strong mostlikely in no particular order. Just baffled that you didn't care for him.
