Hi again Robin, Did you ever find the name of your Bossier grandma we are related through? I found out our Bossier family is related to the builders/ owners of Oak Alley, the Roman's, they sold it to: Valcour Aime the richest man in Louisiana. He married a niece of our Rosayle Barre who was married to our Francois Bossier. Aimee's two daughters were given plantation's close by Oak Alley, Felicity (That The skeleton Key was filmed in with Kate Hudson about 2 years ago) and St. Joseph plantation that was just restored. as wedding gifts.
I found all this out through a Barre cousin..

Also Joseph Girardy who had one of the largest plantations at what is now New Orleans in the 1700's, his plantation ran through city park and Canal street to St. Johns Bayou. His daughter married a Barre' and they had our Rosayle Charlotte Barre'.

I think our family is related to ever old family in Louisiana.. lol!
