I'm 21,
From Manchester, England. The place to be.
Friendship and family are the most important things in the world to me. They are what makes the world go round....oh and Money is pretty good to.
This movie broke my heart. I think knowing that it was based on a true story and the real Chris had a cameo at the end, really added to the emotion. Will Smith was perfect for the role as he can turn anything into gold and this being no exception.
When I first got told about this movie, I initially thought WTF!! It sounded really complex and not a movie I wanted to watch on a relaxing Saturday evening. I gave it a whirl and it was absolutely fantastic. If I could follow it then everyone can. Very original and Denzel Washington is a genius!
The only reason why I gave it two stars is because of my love and infatuation or Rupert. I really wanted to like this film/drama but I just thought the pace was excruciatingly slow and it never really made much of an impact. Love Julie Walters in everything she does and she was brilliant in this but the storyline really let it down for me.
Cannot fault this Rom Com whatsoever. Funny from start to finish and all the characters were really likeable. Having only seen Isla Fisher in Home & Away previously to this, I wasn't sure what to expect but she was bloody marvellous! I think most women can relate to her in some way, maybe not to the extremes that she went to but that said, who doesn't like to shop!? And If you say know, you're lying!! A definate buy when it becomes available on DVD for me!
With the interlocking character sub-plots throughout the film, I couldn't help but compare the movie to Love Actually, which doesn't compare to the great BRIT flick. I did really like the whole story though and most of the characters were fairly likeable. Particularly Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck and Justin Long's characters. I would watch this again and think it appeals to both of the sexes rather than the aimed audiences for most chick flicks.
