  1. Mad Max: I'm scared, Fif. It's that rat circus out there, I'm beginning to enjoy it. Look, any longer out on that road and I'm one of them, a terminal psychotic, except that I've got this bronze badge that says that I'm one of the good guys.

So diabolical, that I now have higher expectations of the movie industry all round. In fact I am already excited at the prospect of a Hungry Hungry Hippos movie...

This fun, light-hearted dedication to the table-top RPG gaming community will be lost on most. But if you have ever rolled a saving throw... you will laugh your ass off for the entire hour and a half that this movie rocks and rolls. Intelligently studied script is close to the world it makes fun of, without directly insulting it. A surprisingly entertaining movie that will leave you comparing its characters to your friends for days afterwards! And you will most DEFINITELY be striking a pose after every success. This movie adds a +10 to your life. Watch it!

An above average action thriller that is really just a modern day Point Break. It did something clever though... and that was read into the current generations thrills and put them on tap with a script teenagers could follow whilst distracted by the pretty lights and loud noises. An 80s style action film for the millenium. Did wonders for the aftermarket car industry and gave its audience just enough thrills to keep watching. Don't expect oscar winning material here, in fact expect a "Billy rides the bus" equivalent of dialogue. BUT, in saying that... those cars are VERY cool, and the action directing of Rob Cohen (xXx) is exactly what the world needed at the time. One for the generation, but just in case you missed it... one for the boys. One of my guilty pleasures, but as a movie... just above average.

When you combine three heavyweights of the film industry like De Niro, Pacino and Mann onto one project, you are going to have magic. The uncomfortable suspense is brilliantly patient, and the action sequences so uncompromisingly real (Thanks to real-life SAS choreographers) you are literally kept upon the edge of your seat until the very end. An added romance-of-respect for two sides of the same coin gives great performances from two of hollywoods best. Add to that an often beleivable supporting cast and you have the ticks in every box covered. The only complaint is its length. This could have been shortened. It is far too long.
