Before Midnight

Before Midnight

(2013)

Jesse and Celine may get older, but the story of their pure love remains fresh and kicking as it was in 1994.

The third installment to 'Before' series continues to give its hopeless romantic (as for me) aficionados a story that tackles relevant issues of love, relationship and life with much honesty and without inhibitions.

From the 'discoveries' and the 'what ifs' of Before Sunrise (1994), the 'chances' of Before Sunset (2004) to Before Midnight's commitment to love, Richard Linklater's masterpiece truly deserves to be one of the best romantic films that works through its great screenplay, engaging dialogues, talented cast, and a love story that never sleeps even AFTER MIDNIGHT. True Romance

True Romance

(1993)

It all started with a tender kiss, sweet talk, until it ended up with a bloody exchange of words, bullets and punches. Academy Award Winner Quentin Tarantino's exciting screenplay works as True Romance's action scenes suit the taste of action film lovers (despite a shallow storyline and a message not worth remembering).

"If you can fight then fight. Help each other. Be prepared for anything. Our war has just begun."

Running Zombies. Smart Direction. A+ Performance from two-time Academy Award Nominee Brad Pitt. World War Z explodes more than just a zombie-horror-drama-thriller that will make you hold your breath and peek through your fingers while involving yourself on how the story will unfold itself. A-

Man of Steel

Man of Steel

(2013)

Produced and written by the critically-acclaimed director Christopher Nolan (Memento, Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy), Man of Steel soared high with the elements of action, fantasy and a dramatic story that gave a soul to one of the most famous superheroes of all time. It may not win the hearts of viewers who seek The Avengers-like fun and wit, but it is undoubtedly a good start to Superman's action-packed adventure.
