i love music, reading, and my bunny. also a big fan of various forms of nerdery, talking shit about women and babies, and verbing the FUCK outta some adjectives. it is also very important that you know i despise wes anderson.
based on a short story done by richard matheson who was responsible for some of the best original series twilight zone episodes (as well as the novel i am legend), and directed by richard kelly (donnie darko). it was beautifully shot with an overall neat concept, but the story got a little too big for itself. would have made a better, more simplistic, 30 minute twilight zone episode.
first of all, if you have seen the amazing preview for this movie, totally disregard it cuz the film is NOTHING like that. this is yet another truly unique movie from park chan-wook and it includes elements of horror, comedy, romance, and more. and in typical chan-wook fashion, the violence is fantastic, the cinematography is amazing, and the characters are infinitely odd and interesting. like 'i'm a cyborg, but that's ok', this movie is completely genre-defying and really incomparable to anything else he's done or even anything else ive ever seen. i definitely recommend it!
