I am just a typical young adult that loves life and is full of dreams and goals. I love to watch movies and share my ratings with others.
My favorite movie genre/category is "Coming of Age".
I have found that I will almost always give a movie 5 stars if it is an action/adventure movie with a well developed plot with characters that one both falls in love with and can relate to, thought out twists, and has an overall good and wholesome motif that teaches the viewer about life.
Basically I evaluate a movie based upon five aspects, plot, characters, genre, ending, and overall "wow effect".
The five points of my grading scale can be applied to a movie's final star rating as follows. Each of the categories (plot, characters, ending, genre, and overall "wow" effect) is given either no star , half a star or a whole star.
Any movie rated less than 3 stars I can not personally recommend. However, I can not say that the movie did not have positive aspects. But,I can say that its positive aspects were not enough to merit it as a recommendable movie. Any movie rated at 4 stars or higher I consider a must see movie.
My all time least favorite movies:
To get on this list you have to be awful. Lately I have gone crazy watching movies and have seen some of the best and some of the worst. I used to have a very high tolerance for poorly developed movies, but my threshold for dumb movies is becoming very low. I have not gotten to the point were I will not watch any movies that fall into certain genres, but I am getting there.
Anyway here are my all time least favorite movies:
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Planet of the Apes
