Cry Baby 9.5:fresh: s I forgot that I never put the quotes up here from when John Waters came to Full Sail. Dad came with me and we sat about ten feet away from him! He was so awesome, not freaky and weird like you'd think- just a chill, creative, cool guy. The kind of guy who my family would probably hang out with. He was honest and straightforward, and amusing as hell. I'll make sure to post that stuff soon.
In Texas, apparently. Duh, Footloose kiddies. um. i saw these movies. i dont feel like reviewing them right now. so there. :D
So much to talk about, ladies and gents.
1. Did the short film thang with TomTom last night (If you read ModernHipp's journal, you can get his opinions...but don't believe him, I didn't mess up that bad, hehe). Despite the surprise sex scene (luckily I had all my clothes on...sadly, TomTom did not ;) lolol.), which was uncomfortable as shit not because of us but because any love scene is just gonna be awful, it was a great shoot. Hot as hell in that room, but the scene that TT and I wrote was really cool, and it was nice to act again. I can't wait to see it, I'm making him drop it off soon. And then run before my dad shoots him and buries him in the backyard.
2. THE DEAD ZONE. Michael directed tonight's episode, with Richard Lewis guest starring. I really liked it, some of the shots were MONEY, and Michael just always amazes me with his acting...if you've seen The Breakfast Club, you know he can make you teary-eyed by sobbing his heart out...tonight he cried, subtly, and it gave me chills! Even the corners of his eyeballs turned red!! Why can't I cry like that dammit?? Ergh. The one acting skill I have yet to master. Anyway, I urge again to watch Dead Zone, and rent/buy the first two seasons on DVD. I'm gonna e-mail him tonight, the busy bastard hasn't written since I sent him my PSA. I'll send him a copy of the Previous Engagement short, though, when I get it.
3. Work. I try as hard as I can to be cool, and chill, because I don't want to become like the jaded assholes I work with...but sometimes I can't help but get frustrated. People can be shitty. And I really need to stay away from Danny, or he needs to stay away from me, or whatever...because I heard him asking Cassie to make a call-ahead for his wife and kids, and I almost threw something. I casually asked her if they were coming in tonight, and she said no. Do you know how happy I was?? I really, really did not want to see them come in. I still don't. That is not good. I shouldn't give a shit, and then he was grumpy tonight and ignoring me, and I got really pissy about it! Between the Evan thing and this, I am just in a frustrated with guys mood. Goddammit. This color should have nothing to do with Danny and I's friendship. I hate him sometimes for being so....whatever to me, which ended up with me totally having a crush on him back. Asshole.
4. My horoscope. Kind of pertains to Number 3 in some ways, which I just noticed and it weirded me out. "At the moment, issues of ethics, religion, and morality are all in your face." No, really? Morality? Then of course this was fitting before anyway: "A new character could enter the soap opera of your life- and bring the taste of honey you've been dying for". Well Evan popped in, so that was pretty accurate. Anyway. Morality. Ha. Bastard.
So I have no work till Friday, because I'm taking Thursday off to go see Flickerstick!! Yaaaaay! I love their music. And the lead guitarist is H-O-T. If you know them from Bands on the Run...well yeah they're a bunch of drunkards. And this proves how fleeting and fickle fame is (illiteration, bitches!). But their music and lyrics are hella cool....download "Beautiful" (my favorite), "Chloroform the One That You Love", and "Smile". Buh-way-no.
I'm out. I don't know. It's been a long weekend. I saw a bunch of peeps at work (Laureeeennnn and mommy de lauren!!) and IB nerds aplenty...it's been stressful, fun, frustrating, anger-inducing, hyper, and hectic. Sigh.
Well then. I kind of like dealing with other people's problems, because they keep me from thinking about mine. I don't want to get too specific (like you did in the last entry regarding a certain married classmate?), but a friend of mine with a hard job is about to....well, okay, he's gone a little loony already, but I'm taking it on as my job to calm him down, especially when he's begging me to tell him what to do. I've already taken on much more than I wanted to with this 35mm project, because he's a friend. He owes me big time. But for now, thinking and listening to him bitch (especially when it's about John, haha) keeps me from getting into a depressed "I'm alone" thing like I did a little while ago. That was just sucky and unproductive. But as the days turn into a week of not being with Evan, it's hard to imagine how long it will take him to get things together and woo me back. Or if he even will. You know me, I don't get my hopes up.
So I'm halfway through my third book in less than three days. A Date with the Other Side, The Givenchy Code, and now Hot Spot. All pretty light stuff, easy to get through (I'm a reader extraordinaire, anyway), and entertaining. Keeping myself occupied. Enjoying the things I love, the ones that got tossed by the wayside when Evan and his time-consumingness came along. Yes, my desire for his company and such was to blame too, but now that it's a moot point I can focus on me time, on reading and journal writing and talking to my friends online and *gasp* even going out with my friends. Speaking of, swam (god that felt good, it was so freakin HOT today!) with Brenner today and watched Pauly Shore is Dead. It uh...well, it taught me that you don't need a budget or good actors to make a film, just famous friends. I mean, the thing looked like a cheap sitcom. And the "storyline"...I certainly hope it was meant to be shitty. There were a few amusing moments, mostly the cameos (adam sandler's voice, vince vaughn, verne troyer and his giant dog), but otherwise this is another Brenner chosen movie that seriously sucked. Sorry, hun. LoL. OH. MY. GOD. You know it's finally come. Tomorrow night, at midnight. I was insanely excited to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith. But I'm almost Balegasming myself in anticipation for CHRISTIAN BALE, aka BATMAN!!! Woooohhoooo!!! Phew, okay. I'm good. I cannot, however, promise that I will be able to contain the various squeals, sighs, moues, screams, claps, and huge grins that will automatically jump to my face every time Christian Bale does something remotely cute, sexy, or funny. So, constantly. Oh yeah, and the fact that BATMAN RULES and I'm just excited to see two of my favorite things get some well-deserved POSITIVE recognition. You're the king of Gotham, baby!! *does a little Newsies dance* Mondo Bongo. First sexy encounter between Brad and Angelina, last awesome choreographed fight in the movie. Download it. It doesn't have quite the same effect when you can't imagine the scenes while you're listening, but it's still incredibly sensual. Been playing non-stop for me the past few nights. Dream of Batman.
