Let the Right One In (2008)

Mature, well-written and original takes on the well-trodden vampire genre are rare these days, but "Let the Right On In" gets everything right. Darkly beautiful and hauntingly moody, with intriguing characters, masterful pacing, and a requisite amount of gore and murder, there's nothing for me not to like here. The highlight of it all is a mesmerizing performance by Lina Leandersson. When she is on the screen, she constantly sucks the viewer's attention, playing a complex character with flawless art, maturity, and believability.
