The movie studios would try to make a Scarface remake PG13,so honestly its as good as it can get. Im a Robocop fan and i like the remake ,but i miss the days when big budget films use to be made for an adult audience.I think this film is worthy of the title though .Its the best Robocop media in general since the original. In some ways it has more depth then the original especially with the political side of Omnicorp and the creation of Robocop and his inner workings ,it just misses the mark on the presentation because the original Robocop is mostly a horror movie about how fake and greedy america has become it use dark humor and realistic violence extremely well it was ment for an adult audience,In the new film the changes to the plot , characters and world are well thought out and modernizes the Robocop universe,It has an all star cast with execellent performances from all lead actors. It has great action and amazing special fx ,a few laughs with a more dynamic and human alex murphy that remebers who he was ,thats not like a msdos program with bad dreams and a gun(petter weller still is a way better actor) all in all i liked it very much and was entertained untill the end,but that being said .... it cant hold a candle to the first one not even close! and i know....If their is one true Robocop fan in the world its me.I was born in the mid 80s and grew up thinking robocop and the terminator was the most bad ass movies that existed me and my friends watched the original hundreds of times .I have all the movies, the toys, the games, and use to watch the series. Its safe to say that the original is one of the last and biggest achievements in analog(before C.G.I) film making and perfect example of how to make a blockbuster and a franchise. The original has a gritty sense of reality because of its portrayal of corperate america ,dark humor such as the commericals the disturbingly cheerful detroit news , realistic graphic violence and an excellent execution of the story! its R rating made the criminal world of detroit very belivable. These things are not present in the new one,and some changes were stupid like the motorcycle and face make up that looks like the ill faited tick tv show!....How can you arrest someone on a motorcycle that people can see a million miles away!robocop drives a tarus!but honestly how can you make a better film then the original its a classic modern masterpeice ! I also though robo's new silver armor looked damn cool.
It was Dragonball z style action with good story development and a modernized superman that more resembles the comics of 90's and up.Other then some way over produced sequences that were hard to swallow( ex. robot tentacle)and a few to many liberties with the classic story its one of the best superhero movies to date and hands down a total feast for the eyes.its nice to see a superman movie that stands on it own instead of being in the world of the Christopher Reid movies or based on the superman of the 40's.superman needed a good movie and this is the best execution of the character yet.
If you did nt like the new stooges you would not have liked the old stooges either. get a life and stop trying make peoples minds up bofore they get a chance to watch something.
i loved the new stooges it was updated just enough to be current but still true to the source material.i personaly would have liked the movie to be set in the 1940s but the end product was good anyway minus the jersey shore, geico, and iphone product placements but hey something has to pay for a movie thats 30 years to late.i cant belive that people tryed to take this as a serious peice and actually gave it a bad review.all the stooges ever where was slapstick, scholcky puns, one liners, bad plots and sound effects made for kids off all ages and people who say they failed to add fresh laughs are idiots becuase the stooges them selves couldnt even do that way back in 1960s, this movie actually had the best plot development of all the stooge films. it would have been the best stooge movie is actually contained the stooges.they did did an awesome job casting .im a huge will sasso fan and consider him to be under rated and if you can find a better curly i wouldnt belive you.Chris Diamantopoulos was like moe back from the dead and he had the pressence of being the brains of the operation.but sean hayes was the stand out for me his voice was close to the original larry it was uncanny and it didnt sound like and impersonation . and the role was so out of the norm for him that i didnt even recognize him untill i read the credits.the only thing that disapointed me is that the movie was missing the scence where the stoogery goes nuts on gigantic scale and ends with an hilarious climax it didnt reach that point of absolute ridiculousness. but all in know buddy could have made a better movie out of humor thats been dated and forggoten about since the 1960s i loved every minute and it was all for the kids in the first place and the ones i know loved it.
