Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life. I'm not gonna hurt ya. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I said, I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just going to bash your brains in. Gonna bash 'em right the f*** in! ha ha ha - Jack Nicholson in The Shining
Favorite Scene From A Movie
Too many. What comes to mind is Oldboy single shot fight scene with Dae-Su against 50+ gang members. Ong-Bak climax fight scene and arena fight scene. Goodfellas "funny how?" and "Spider, get me a drink". The Shining when Jack Torrance finds Wendy reading his repetitive work. Halloween's climax scene. I could write a hundred more. But I won't.
I love the Jason Voorhees character. Some of the other films. Only reason this gets a fresh is because of my admiration for these horror films. What I grew up with. It's great to see him again in a new story wreaking havoc. Besides that, this movie could have done so much better. Across the board, script for sure. Jason runs now? Set's traps? Kidnaps people and keeps them alive? He fed her for the months while she was captive in his little cave? When did he have a cave? Did he make her PBJ sandwiches? I liked to see how he pays his electric bill too when he flips on the flood lights. What do you get with Michael Bay? Wish he would leave the horror icons alone, like Freddy now. I'm glad Hollywood is trying to re-invent the 80s and 90s horror, but please, keep Bay away from them.
