    Despicable Me (2010)

Funny and jumpy but also unpolished and undignified. It could have been better. But with what it has to offer, there is a bit of hope for the cartoon-slapstick genre.

"Despicable Me" offers a strange cast of characters, some charming and some annoying, but all loyally placed and made to fit their actors.

The first part of the movie fails to seem as relevant or interesting as the rest. The semi-predictable plot survives with smart slapstick, memorable dialogue, the sweet development among Gru and his adopted daughters and a great vocal lead by Steve Carell.
