    Despicable Me

    Despicable Me (2010)

Family Movies of the Year. Not Toy Story 3, not How to Train Your Dragon, but Despicable Me. While I do wholly agree that both were better, Despicable Me will provide more laughs and for the kids, because that is what they go to see.

Plot: Gru, the villain who can never be the best, uses girls to infiltrate the best villains lair, steal a shrink ray, and shrink the moon so he can steal it. Slowly over time, his evilness goes away and he begins to care for the girls like a father. Many funny moments are added to make it all the more enjoyable.

Characters: By far the funniest is Agnes, the little girl. I'm 15, but the moment she looks at that large unicorn and says, "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die," I almost die from laughter. Most jokes centered around her are incredibly funny and smart. There are many "smart" jokes throughout the whole film with Gru and the other characters as well. It's also nice to show that under all evil, is good.

My Enjoyment: I do admit, I had more fun watching this that I did Toy Story 3 and How to Train Your Dragon. The reasons might include it was funnier and faster paced. I still do like Toy Story 3 and How to Train Your Dragon better, but I highly enjoyed this.

This is a must see in the horrible summer of 2010.

    93/100
